I remember a moment, many years ago, when I realised that if I want my life experience to change, that I would need to start working on myself on a daily basis. I was geared up and ready to go but I had one major problem that was preventing me from moving forward… I didn’t know WHAT to do!
It took many years of trial and error until I eventually worked out what was helpful for my mind and body and what was definately NOT helpful. Many years later I stumbled accross Kundalini Yoga and was surprised at the similarities of what the teachings and technoglogy contains with what I had learned through my personal (very windy) journey. In short, I was delighted to have found a practice which enabled me to choose kriyas, meditations and breathwork based on what I wanted to shift and change within my life. And best yet? Kundalini Yoga is the householder’s yoga, so everything is MEANT to be done alongside the messiness of family life and it STILL gives incredible, lifechanging results.
Kundalini Yoga is most often taught in group classes but if you are wanting a daily practice or can’t get to classes or they just aren’t your thing, you can still gain the benefits of Kundalini Yoga through customised programming.
When you work with me one to one you receive a personalised practice tailored to your individual needs and goals, whether you are seeking to improve your physical health, reduce stress and anxiety, or deepen your spiritual practice.
All of the exercises and breathing techniques of Kundalini Yoga have very specific actions on the mind, body and energy of the person practising and so it is a wonderful healing technology when you practise with purposeful goals in mind.
How does it work?
The consult component is 1 to 1.5 hours (dependent on need). Before your consultation I will send you an in-depth questionnaire so I can gain an understanding of your personal history and current experiences with yoga and spirituality, as well as any specific issues or conditions that you hope to address through our work together. I use this information to create a custom Kundalini Yoga practice for you, based on the time you would like to commit, how often, any physical or mental limitations, your goals etc.
At your consultation (either in person in O’Conner or online via Zoom) I will take you through your practice so you are confident to continue at home. Your practice will incorporate a variety of techniques, including pranayama (breathwork), asana (postures), mantra (sacred sound), and meditation, to help you connect with your inner self and cultivate a deeper sense of awareness and presence. I encourage you to be open to incorporating all the techniques recommended to achieve your goals, however if you would like to concentrate in one area, please indicate this on your intake form. For example, you may be looking for a daily practice that is predominantly breathwork or mantra versus physical Kriyas (exercise sets).
You will take home instructions on how to do the yoga, meditation and/or breathing, recommendations for diet and lifestyle changes and information about the reasoning behind what you are doing.
I’ll be there to guide and support you every step of the way as you begin to incorporate Kundalini Yoga into your everyday practice, offering modifications and adjustments as needed to ensure that you feel safe and comfortable in your practice.
I am available to answer any questions you may have over the 40 days after your consultation. Minor adaptations to your practice are included however major changes (ie a new practice or kriya) will require another consultation.

What to bring & wear
Yoga mat and cushion provided (or you may bring your own).
Please bring a blanket, drink bottle, journal, pen & snack if desired.
Wear casual, comfortable clothing that you can move freely in.

During the time that we are working together, I will not leave you hanging between sessions as I am available via email to answer questions and provide support as needed.
