Hypnosis for finding your kind coach

8 minute hypnosis with journal prompt

Your mind jumps around like a monkey and you are having trouble staying focused, on task or perhaps can’t even get started? Take a moment and notice your internal dialogue… Is it kind and encouraging or is it critical? More times than not, our internal dialogue is critical, brutal even, as it tears shreds off us for not doing whatever we think we “should” be doing.

This critical part of us is trying to help us to be better. But take a moment to consider whether a child thrives most with parents who are kind and encouraging or whether parents that are harsh and berating? The research is very clear that a mother can not over love her child. Unfortunately, what happens, is that the critical voices we grow up with eventually become internalised. So while the people who have been critical when we were young – teachers, parents, friends etc may change or stop when you get to adult hood – Your brain has been trained to internalise and thus you become your own whip.

Now if you are neurodiverse (and maybe even if you are not), you likely feel comments at a deeper level. And on top of this it is possible you perceive critical input where none was intended. If this is the case your inner critic is likely large and loud!

Below is a hypnosis track that will take you through a visualisation to reduce your inner critic and meet your kind coach.

Part 2: Journaling

After the hypnosis, take some time to journal about your experience. And if you would like to deepen your connection with your coach further, put your timer on for 10 minutes and write nonstop from the point of view of your kind internal coach. Begin with, “I am your kind internal coach and…” When doing this type of journaling its important to not stop writing even if it means repeating the same word over and over again. Don’t worry about grammar or spelling just allow it to come out. After 10 minutes you can go back and read what you wrote to reflect on its meanings.

Call on your kind internal coach throughout your day. If you catch your inner critic berating you, imagine the kind coach coming up and leading him or her away and then coming back to give you the words of encouragement you need in that moment.

About Michelle

Hi I’m Michelle Marsh and I am a coach, therapist, Kundalini Yoga teacher and lover of life.

As Mum with ADHD and highly sensitive person who is also a sensation seeker, I understand what it’s like to have your sensitivity running your life instead of aiding it. But I also know from experience that there is light at the end of the tunnel if you are willing to do the work. For myself, I was never afraid of doing the work… I just couldn’t work out WHAT to do! After years of searching, a few burn outs/breakdowns and intense study I became clear on what works and what doesn’t.

But I am not just sharing with you from an experience point of view. I am also teaching from a professional stance as someone who has studied and integrated teachings from biological, psychological and esoteric traditions. These include Creative Therapies, Kundalini Yoga (KRI), Registered Nursing, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Plant Medicine and Natural Living.

I combine my naturally enthusiastic belief in EVERY BODY  with my natural empathic talents to provide you with just the right amount of space and direction so you can go deep and resurface anew.

During the time that I am your coach, I will not leave you hanging between sessions as I am available via email to answer questions and provide support as needed.

If you are unsure whether working with me is right for your unique circumstances, please reach out and I will help you to find clarity. I don’t do sales calls so our chat will be very casual and I will refer you in the right direction if I see that Aromanosis is not right for you at this time.
